Bikes for Refugees
Bikes for Refugees (Scotland) aims to support the resettlement of isolated and socio-economically disadvantaged New Scots through the distribution of free bicycles and the transformational power of cycling.
Bikes for Refugees have been distributing bikes since 2016. Our hard working and dedicated volunteers and staff have supported over 2500 New Scots through the refurbishment and distribution of free bicycles from established community hubs in the Cities of Glasgow and Edinburgh. The Glasgow Hub is based in Govan and can be accessed by arrangement.
If you are a refugee or asylum seeker, please note that they operate a waiting list for bikes and it is not possible to just drop in – please register for a bike on the website and we will contact you when a bike becomes available.
If you are a support agency referring someone for a bike please use the same form and include your contact details.
If you would like to donate a bike to support New Scots, please visit their website and complete the bike donation form.
