Free Bike Maintenance Workshop – Brakes

What we’ll do
This 2 hour workshop is ideal for those with some bike maintenance experience and we will cover the following…
- Disc and rim brakes
- Calliper types
- Disc brake rotors
- Mechanical and hydro disc brake systems maintenance and alignment
- Rim brake calliper, alignment and clearance
- Brake cable adjustment
What we’ll provide
We’ll provide all tools and equipment required, gloves will be available.
What you should bring with you
Bikes will be available to practice on, but if you wish to bring your own bike to work with during the workshop, please let us know when registering.
We recommend wearing comfortable clothes without loose sleeves, and if you have long hair you may want to tie it back!
Who the workshop is for
A basic knowledge of bike maintenance is needed for this workshop and is suitable for anyone aged 16+.
About us
The NDT Cycling provides activities to promote cycling in the west of Scotland. We specialise in:
- Bike repairs
- Reconditioned bikes
- Training
NDT Cycling is also a Park Tool School, delivering hands-on bike maintenance courses.
The course will be ran by Gerardo who is a Cytech level 3 qualified technician with over 4 years’ experience on running a busy workshop and teaching bike mechanics.
