Jumping Clinic

December 14, 2019 - 10:00 am - 12:30 pm

Do you want to learn how to jump safely and confidently? Being able to jump your mountain bike is a great way to make trail features flow, and it is a whole lot of fun!

This Clinic will take place at the skills area and pumptrack at Cathkin Braes. If and when it is appropriate we will progress to the Airspace Trail.

During this Skills Clinic I will teach you:

– Correct body position for mountain biking
– Correct weight distribution
– Range of Movement
– Manuals and Bunny Hops
– Pumping
– How to ‘weight’ and ‘un-weight’ your bike
– How to shape a jump
– How to squash a jump
– How to add style to your jumping

Please meet at the Cathkin Braes Mountain Bike Trails lower car park on Ardencraig Road 15 minutes before the session begins. You should arrive with your bike in safe working order, your helmet, suitable clothing, any protective clothing you require and sufficient food, drinks and spares for 2 and half hours of riding.

Please note that bikes and helmets are not available for hire.

This Skills Clinic is for riders aged over 18 only.
