‘Let’s go!’ Film Premiere at Bike For Good

October 12, 2019 - 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm

Bike for Good are celebrating cycling, community, and their climate change efforts.

Join the red carpet at the Bike for Good South Community Hub to launch ‘Let’s Go! a film about cycling, community and climate change’ during Scotland’s Climate Week.

For the past two years, playwright Lewis Hetherington and filmmaker Geraldine Heaney have been working with Bike for Good’s participants, volunteers and staff to document and explore how young people and adults are getting involved in helping make Glasgow a more sustainable, cycling friendly city.

Bike for Good are now delighted to invite you to the premiere of the short film made with the local community of Govanhill to celebrate Bike for Good’s VeloCommunities project and the amazing stories of people taking action on climate change at a local level.

VeloCommunities, the 1000th project to receive funding from the Scottish Government’s Climate Challenge Fund, aims to get Glasgow’s commuters out of their cars and onto their bikes to help reduce local carbon emissions.

A red carpet, vegetarian cinema snacks, live music,  film screenings, a Dr Bike workshop, and activities for all ages.
