Scottish Cycling Develops Activity Books To Support New Cyclists

With the growth in popularity of cycling during the Covid-19 pandemic, Scottish Cycling has developed a range of resources to support people to continue to reap the benefits of cycling!

Scottish Cycling has spent the last few months working on a range of practical ‘activity books’ which can be used to grow confidence, develop knowledge and support people to keep riding their bikes as we move out of lockdown.

The activity books have been created with three groups in mind:
– Kids
– Families
– Adults

They contain a range of cycling skills, general cycling knowledge, bike maintenance and fun challenges to support the user to continue to enjoy riding their bikes.

The development of the resources has been made possible thanks to the support of Digby Brown LLP who have a long association with Scottish Cycling through their annual sponsorship of the Awards and Conference Weekend and support to members as the solicitors acting for British Cycling members in Scotland. Commenting on their support for the activity books, they said:

“The COVID-19 pandemic has had a terrible impact on the lives of people around the world. As we emerge from the crisis, the physical, mental, and societal benefits of getting more people cycling has never been more obvious. Digby Brown LLP are thrilled to be supporting Scottish Cycling on this resource, providing fun activities and tips to those new to cycling and we hope they continue to keep active long into the future.”

As part of the partnership, each Local Authority in Scotland will receive 500 copies of the activity books to disseminate among their local schools.

The activity books are also available to the general public to download for free or by paying a nominal fee to receive a physical copy to your home.
